It doesn't matter if you are young or old, black or white. rich or poor, educated or uneducated, good or bad, Protestant, Catholic, Hindu, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist or no religion. We were created equals by God with an empty space inside that belongs to Him and only He can fill. He loves each one of us with a father's love that is unconditional and so immeasurable that it is beyond our understanding. A love for us that caused Him to send His only son Jesus Christ to die on a cruel cross for your sin and mine so that our sins can be freely forgiven and we can be assured of an eternal home in Heaven when this life ends. All we are asked to do is repent (a genuine turning away from sin or wrong doing in our lives), believe and then with the help of His Holy Spirit live our lives for Him.

That emptiness inside you and me can never be filled except by God no matter how much or how little we have, we think if we just had that one more thing, more money, better job, bigger house, faster car, new relationship, more holidays, another drink, another fix etc. then life will be good. Some try to fill this emptiness with work, drugs, alcohol, sex, ponography, gluttony but these only lead to addiction. We reap what we sow and all these things bring their own problems, in failed health, broken homes and relationships and an even greater emptiness and loneliness inside.

Pleasure is short lived and the old adage "far off fields look green" still holds true. Have you ever actually stood in a field and saw how green the other field in the distance seems and then go stand in that field and look back at the one you left only to find that it now looks much greener than the one you are now in? It has nothing to do with the fields but our perception of how things appear.

When we fail be it in work, in relationships or whatever, failure leads to low self esteem and a feeling of guilt,sadly for some the burden of guilt and the loneliness become so overpowering and the hopelessness so great that they take their own lives. If you are feeling that all is hopeless and life is not worth living read on!

There is an answer provided by God and you can know His peace, acceptance and love through Jesus Christ who was put to death on a cruel cross to pay the price for your sin and mine. He defeated death and rose again and by His Spirit can change our lives and offers the free gift of new life on this earth and eternal life in the world to come to all who repent of sin and call upon Him.

The following is a simple prayer of commitment to God and if your are tired of this life, its burdens and pain, if you can't find satisfaction in what this world has to offer, then if you are genuinely wanting God to change your life, are sorry for the wrongs you have done, want to know real forgiveness -and can earnestly say and mean it - Christ will come into your heart by His spirit and you will be spiritually born again, a new creation with a new hope and purpose in this life and a promise of life everlasting in the world to come:
"Lord Jesus I need you. Thank you for dying on Calvary for my sins. I am truly sorry for all that I have done wrong. I open the door of my heart and welcome you in as Saviour and Lord. Take over the throne of my life and by your Holy Spirit help me to become the person you want me to be. I thank you for the gift of eternal life. AMEN"

No matter what you have been or have done, if you said this prayer and are genuinely sorry for past wrongdoing, intending by God's grace and the Holy Spirit's help to lead a new life according to God's word. Then you have been born again, you may not feel any different, it is not about feelings but God's grace and love. Go tell someone, if you are not already a member of a church, find a Christian fellowship where you can learn and grow, read the bible and ask God each day in prayer to lead you in His ways. This is only the beginning of an exciting journey as you find God's will for your life.
